I see many people are going back to using "dumb" watches.
This is still not a great watch though for the price.

Agreed, it looks like for an extra $15 over the Scout you're just getting the crown protector on the metal case and ... fashion?

I don't need those little protrusions with numbers stamped on them to get caught on things.

walmart had them marked down in january, picked up one for 15. should have bought more, cause i like the simplicity and style. also use digital Casio, but i think these are a cut above those. my friend has had one since forever if they don't get lost.

I have had one for about 10 years. The battery held for 7 years, but I used the 'Indiglow' about 50 times during one battery life span. Keeps times accurately, rugged watch. I bought a 10 years ago for $25.
