I have issues copying data using this Ugreen enclosure with my 4TB Gen4 NVMe. I tested the same enclosure with a 1TB drive and it works fine. I suspect that the power module cannot handle the high draw of a high-capacity multi-module drive. My Sabrent enclosure can handle the 4TB drive fine.
Also, there is a design flaw in its tool-free design. The case slides in to close, which means there is no downforce and barely any contact between the thermal pad and the aluminum casing. If your NVMe drive is thinner, there will be no contact at all. The heat dissipation through the casing will be zero. If you're transmitting large files with a high-speed drive, then a crash could be expected.
In short, if you're using this with a smaller drive, it should be OK. For larger drives, it's not stable.

Even with smaller drives sometimes it disconnect and on some drives the USB C does not work and have to switch to USB A. I have several PC's which I have tried this on , overall it's hit or miss depending on the drives and connection types

I've had this enclosure for a few years and has a 512gb SSD in it and have had no problems, transfers go smooth and I run emulated games off of it with no problem

I have a 4tb WD blue and have no issues. But I agree about the thermal stuff

I've had this for two years now. 2TB nvme in it and using the exFAT format. Haven't ran into any issues. Been doing high data transfers this pass weekend and it worked flawlessly.

I replaced a 256GB OS drive on a laptop with a 1TB one. The 256GB is being used as a backup drive in this enclosure. Seems to be working fine. I can't tell if certain data transfer spikes are due to the enclosure or the M.2 drive itself.

While I don't have this exact model, I have lots of random weirdness when using my device. Sometimes it's fine. other times you get errors or hard locks during file transfers. Also ran into an issue where a Sandisk NVME wasn't detected as a Sandisk, so I couldn't use their utility suite to clone a drive. It must be something about the NVME->USB controllers these things use. Buyer beware. (and yeah I see similar comments above as well, heat never occurred to me, perhaps that is 1 issue)
