I bought too early last year and paid $20 each for the light and fan. Finally got 2 40V battery and charger during December when HD was clearing out the 16" carbon fiber trimmer kit for $75.

You were wise. I passed at $10 because I didn't have any 40v batteries. Now I have 4 or 5. Do you think they are worth it? I have a bunch of 18v lights/fans but I'd be tempted to pick these up if the price was right.

You can't go wrong at $10. I know I was going to get into the 40V platform, didn't know when and it took almost a year. Be patient and wait for the right sale.

I have lights from, Dewalt, Milwaukee (12 & 18), Ryobi (18 and 40), Ridgid, Ego. I love the Ego 10,000 lumens so much that I have 2.

Exact same scenario. Same trimmers. Now I have 2 batteries an no other 40v tools yet. I have a lot of expand it attachments though.

I was dreaming of that $10 deal when my power went out last week. Should have known I'd end up Ryobi 40vs eventually.

I ordered two of these at the $20 price yesterday and they only delivered one and refunded me the other one today.

The best part is that if you go in the app they are definitely in stock but they just now cost $30 instead of $20. It seems like they just decided they didn't want to get only $20 for these but they didn't also want to leave me completely hanging 🙄
