This will probably be like the PS5 thread, where prices don't immediately change for most retailers on Sunday (except Meta themselves). Most likely, retailers will sell through existing stock and then increase prices when they reorder. While in my honest opinion, none of these are worth the price they're increasing to, I wanted to post for awareness for anyone on the fence about purchasing.

I remember reading something from either Business Financial or another Financial piece that meta was cutting a lot of their budget from VR to focus more on AI and their Meta glasses. Something also they were going to cut meta Horizons completely out

Given that Meta just laid off a bunch of its VR team to focus on AI, I'd be surprised if there's any support left. Cue "aging hardware" theme song as the manufacturer shuts down.

Pretty funny timing and such but in my mind that only increases my interest in how this all plays out. It will be neat if the prices do crash and then we get a real nice homebrew scene going strong

I just had a 39% rewards back email from a certain cashback app last week. Getting those emails usually requires browsing first with the extension enabled in your browser, and the promo email comes a day later. Would be a good deal combined with the current lower price.
