This will probably be like the PS5 thread, where prices don't immediately change for most retailers on Sunday (except Meta themselves). Most likely, retailers will sell through existing stock and then increase prices when they reorder. While in my honest opinion, none of these are worth the price they're increasing to, I wanted to post for awareness for anyone on the fence about purchasing.

That's my main problem with this, it's too heavy and squeezes your head which could also be contributing. Really it should be just some lightweight goggles with a cord that connects to the compute unit which is maybe strapped to your waist or back.

Caution, the latest update was anti-ownership. My updates were turned off in settings but the device still updated. Now my side loaded app is only available when connected to wifi in the new interface. Also After the update, I launch a game I don't want to play as it is booting I hit the meta button and open the game I actually want to play. If I opened the 2nd game 1st it won't get past the loading screen. If it had this behavior within the return window I would have returned it, but making it crappy after the return window seems accepted now. Also if they don't honor the update off button what else are they doing with the device I told them not to?

I got the 3s for like $175 after a black Friday deal in 24. Even that was pushing it on being worth it. Those fresnal lenses are just a poor experience compared to the pancake lenses of the 3.

In no world would I pay $350 for a 3s. It's like Meta is trying to completely tank the quest brand with these prices.

This is weird. I was lucky enough to get the 512Gb version for $307 (after $100 Amazon credit) in early December. That was probably a blip, but the general price during the holiday period was a temporary cut of $100 off MSRP. I was chatting to a friend in the UK who had picked one up recently - Meta were selling off new headsets as refurbished when he bought his. I get that storage and memory have both gone up in cost during and since that time but how do you go from clearing out inventory to increasing prices by 20%?

I saw that promo too. I've been hesitant to use offers like that given the cb balance in my account there is $0, despite me having used their links on a couple of sites. They have wording on those offers about users only being eligible for one email offer ("Limit one Home Page Activation Bonus offer per user") - would that mean you can only use that particular offer (in this case Meta) once, or that once you've used one of these big %age offers you are ineligible for any others (LG frequently shows up with very generous percentages for example).
