Amazon review:
" This router came from a third party vendor. What I didn't know was these outdated products could be purchased cheaply and resold on various platforms. I'm sure it probably works with simple systems but I was having problems getting it to connect. I called Linksys Support for help and was informed that they no longer sold or supported this router as it was over three years old. I would just suggest caution and do some research before buying inexpensive routers as cheaper isn't usually better."

Its no longer supported.

I got the Linksys AX5400, but the range is actually worse than my old one. I get no signal in the basement where my old one do.

Any reviews? The AC1200 at same price has external Antennas. But this has faster CPU, gigabit ports, more flash/ram and AX support.

Tempted to get a few to supplement our Unifi network acting as a managed switch and AP with multiple VLANS and multiple SSIDs, which I believe should all be possible with Open WRT?

Typically routers without external antennas have very weak reception fair warning. This is the kinda thing your ISP would "rent" to you for 5$ extra a month and it's usually very mediocre on the best of days. I'll keep an eye out for something from
Netgear for under 20$ next time

I ordered 2 routers and got 2 wireless extenders. They let me keep them and refunded my $20. I decided to use them as Access Points for my 2.4Ghz wifi cameras. Seem to work fine. I updated the firmware to the latest version.
