Sadly, Broadcom chipset, no OpenWRT support. Do not confuse with E8450 - very different story. Otherwise I would order without thinking twice.
Might support DDWRT

I really like this router. Just make sure to turn OFF auto firmware update when you get it. I forgot to do this, and it updated incorrectly and messed up my settings. It was easy to reinstall the previous version, but I thought I would pass along the info so that it might save someone some time and extra setup steps. I am pretty sure the router ships already updated with the most current version. To see what features it has built in, you can go to the Router User Interface Emulator at: https://support.linksys.com/kb/ar...ion_id=184

No Fresh Tomato support either. There are other Linksys routers that are covered by FT, but not this one...

That's a good deal (<$10) for a router that supports OpenWRT. Thanks for the info. https://openwrt.org/toh/linksys/e7350

if missed set your alert to Linksys Arena AX3200 aka E8450. Much more powerful, also sold cheap, fully openWRT compatible including HW offloading of various functions

I just got this router a couple of weeks ago. Tried setting it up, but it is not allowing windscribe vpn via strongswan android app (IKEv2 EAP). This vpn works like a charm on my Netgear NH WiFi5 router. VPN passthrough is enabled.

Also, how to configure such that IP address is automatically from ISP, but DNS is what I want to configure (Google or Cloudfare, etc.) How do I restrict the MTU size? It seems to reset to default 1500.

No support for Linksys app for this model. So can't use the app for better router configuration.

Thanks

When I log into my router (192.168.1.1), it says AC1200 E9450 instead of AX5400 E9450. What does your router info show? Seems like they have sent me a lemon.

When my router auto updated, it changed to say AC1200 as well. I went and got the last firmware, and after installing it, it now says AX5400 again.

I am running a very basic configuration with a guest network, but happy with my results. Hope this helps some.

I could be wrong, but I think the settings you are looking for are under the WAN setup. Once you log into the router from your browser, click where it says "Configuration" (it is to the right of where it says system status).
After that, on the left of the screen, you should see "wan setup" (under local network). Hope this helps. PS: This is new to me, so I am not an expert. :-)
