When my router auto updated, it changed to say AC1200 as well. I went and got the last firmware, and after installing it, it now says AX5400 again.

I am running a very basic configuration with a guest network, but happy with my results. Hope this helps some.
Thanks. It seems like some of these routers came with the wrong firmware. When I finally updated with the last firmware from Linksys' website, I got the correct version displayed on the system status page. VPN also started working. Linksys phone number listed on the orange tag on the device is also bogus. Poorly factory reconditioned.

Repped.

I could be wrong, but I think the settings you are looking for are under the WAN setup. Once you log into the router from your browser, click where it says "Configuration" (it is to the right of where it says system status).
After that, on the left of the screen, you should see "wan setup" (under local network). Hope this helps. PS: This is new to me, so I am not an expert. :-)
I configured cloudflare dns server under local network (LAN) via Static DNS 1 and Static DNS 2. It seems to be working.

Thanks
