I bought my copy of H:TMCC back in 2021 when it went on sale for $15 and I considered it a steal all the way back then...

Added ~300 more to the community notes/wiki. The "best of" list for the most part is in the main thread though.

Anyone know if this review is still accurate regarding the master chief collection?
"This isn't a critique of the games themselves — they're good — it's about the onerous Microsoft sign-in required to play after buying the game.

You can't just launch and play. A Microsoft account is mandatory, account creation/verification is cumbersome and unreliable, and the sign-in servers are often flaky. Even single-player or offline modes demand a linked Microsoft account; owning the game on Steam isn't accepted as proof. The mandatory Xbox/Microsoft sign-in is unnecessary (no cross-play) and harms the experience.

If you don't mind dealing with that unstable, intrusive sign-in, go ahead; otherwise I can't recommend buying it."

I can only say that yes a Microsoft account is needed to sign in even in single player or offline mode. And if you plan on playing the campaign with a friend online, DO NOT BUY. Bought this 3 days ago and it has connection issues

Anyone ever try World of Goo 2? First one was such a huge indie, but it feels like no one ever talks about the sequel. I vaguely recall World of Goo 2 not originally launching on Steam; perhaps that is part of what sucked the wind from their sales.
