What's those emitting waves denoting in the first images?
It supports the capacitive function of the camera control button found on the newer iPhones. It's just a break-apart view of the mechanism allowing the passthrough. Cheaper cases just have a hole cutout for the button and it makes it hard to use because it's so far into the case at that point. On a separate note, I've been rocking this case for months and it is one of the best iPhone cases I've ever owned. The camera stand is awesome and adds extra protection.
The MobileReviewsEh guy on youtube doesn't like it, though (but I think he might be sponsored by Flolab, even though he says he's a 'reviewer not an influencer', as his #1 choice for a case and a screen protector are both Flolab):
I'm not too worried, but I am worried about the grippiness.
I will say, however, that I do like some of his methodology, if it can be trusted. Apparently there is an app that measures drop impact that Project Farm didn't use (but PF did use real-world results testing, noting the actual damage done to the case and phone).
I've got a Caudabe Sheath ordered but it won't be here until next week and I want to protect my new phone right away.
I just did a TON of research haha.

Thanks for this suggestion --> "I just ordered a 'like new' one for $14."

You're welcome. So, I got it and the Caudabe. Unfortunately, neither are able to fit over a camera lens screen protector, so I ended up ordering an Otterbox Defender Pro which has a cutout of the entire camera section. I have always used Otterbox Defender Pro but I thought I would try to find the most protective case. Not to be.
As for the ESR, it is pretty slippery. Caudabe not much better. Otterbox is really good in this regard. I don't know why they aren't all grippy rubber. Some people say it grabs the inside of their pocket lining when they try to take it out, but I've never had this problem. Maybe because I wear shorts year-round?
