The refurbished Dyson V11 is a strong cordless cleaner for quick whole home use, with standard mode handling everyday messes and the laser head making hidden dust on hardwood and LVP obvious. Refurb units often arrive looking brand new and can run flawlessly, but battery life on high suction is limited, with some charging slowly and needing frequent emptying or filter cleaning. The bigger concern is refurb consistency, since wrong models, missing accessories, and charger issues have all shown up. A solid pick if you want Dyson power and can live with refurb roulette.

Common Questions (5)

  • Runtime can be under 40 minutes, and high suction may cover only about 2 medium rooms or one large room per charge. Standard mode is enough for most cleaning, while high suction is better reserved for spot-cleaning tougher messes.

  • It can be disappointing on hardwood, with dust buildup becoming obvious quickly and prompting frequent vacuuming. The laser-equipped Dyson models also make debris on hardwood or LVP much more visible, which can make the floor seem dirtier than expected.

  • No docking station is included for the V11 in this thread. If you want wall storage or charging convenience, you may need to buy a separate dock or use the charger directly.

    miclxxHitechRedneck

  • The Dyson refurb listing mentions a 6-month warranty, and the eBay refurbished program can include a 2-year Allstate extended warranty. That longer coverage is a major reason some shoppers prefer the eBay option.

  • The V15 Detect is newer and more powerful, and it can sometimes be found for a similar price. If you do not need a vacuum immediately, waiting for a V15 deal may be the better upgrade.

thanks. i have a backup v10 (to v10) sitting around so skipping based on your suggestion.
I think he or she was being sarcastic (see the wink at the end) and is saying the v15 is too good at revealing what accumulates on your hardwood or LVP for that matter due to the laser attachment. The human eye does not normally see the debris the laser reveals.

Best vacuum I've ever owned. I got my V15 from the Dyson eBay store for $299. My "refurbished" appeared brand new. This is a great deal.

The v15 outsize absolute+ is also available for $288. How does that compare to the v15 detect listed in the OP?

It's not a design flaw....what do you think a filter does? It's washable.
I'm guessing you are a Dyson rep or you respond exactly like a Dyson rep that people post about... Just clean the filter bro...
Did you bother to do any research before posting?
I'll help you out.
