Sharks app SUCKS! It'll work at first, then won't go into the areas you want, as if it doesn't know your house after vacuuming it a few times. My kitchen is to the right. It goes left, gets lost, then complete, docks.

Plus, your house is stored in the cloud and not on your device (WHY?!!!). No internet? Oh well, too bad. Their servers are down? Oh well, too bad. And I have cleared chache/data, reset app/phone (s24 ultra), un/reinstalled. Too many hoops just to get it to work (a lot of 1 star reviews, some wishing they could select negative stars).

It's easier just to hit play from the unit. You'll lose room/area selection doing that way, but it'll save you a ton of headaches and stress. The vac is great, ESPECIALLY w hair (which is why I got it). And durable after been kicked (GO RIGHT YOU SON'OVA!), airborne, and dented the sheetrock. That was the last day I used the app. Great vac though.

Don't waste your money. Grab a refurbished Roborock from their official eBay store. They're essentially brand new. Shark is overpriced.

is Roborock Chinese? Any non-Chinese brands that are good?

Shark's mapping is so bad, it cant even figure out walls after multiple runs. A 5 year old Roborock does way better

Having owned both Roborock and Shark vacuums the Roborocks are far better.

Got this deal back in December. Unit failed earlier this month - something with the lidar sensor. These units are getting phased out. They sent me a newer model (Matrix) for free under warranty, operates more quietly but has the LiDAR sensor on top so the clearance isn't as good for under the TV console.

The shark app has been frustrating sometimes - disconnecting and having to sign out to reconnect the navigator. Haven't had any issues with the new unit so far.
