I had one of those. Same refurb etc etc. they broke within 1-2 years. It's a common problem

My AM09 from the Dyson refurb-ebay store is still running without a hiccup. I think I'm one of the lucky ones!

I have been wanting one of these for years - feel like this is the first time it's been lower than $200. Want to pull the trigger but the failure rates have me hesitant.

Do any of the other Heat+Cools have a better rep?

I bought 2 HP02 heat + "cold" units back about 2018 refurbished. One for me and one for mom. Mine is still going strong, but moms failed out mid last year. Haven't disposed of it. I keep thinking its gotta be a common circuit or fix I can repair. So far, nothing. Maybe mark it up to money's worth and no longer even need another. I got a secondary smaller unit for 36.00 from Walmart. Only need the heat for a media room. No biggie. Not worth the price still, unless you just like Dyson.

No, mine failed after a year randomly. Luckily the warranty saved my ass.

These things are notorious for motor's failure caused by intakes being clogged by house dust. I'd rather buy a similar Dyson model that has a round filter inside.
