I have this watch. One of my favorites. The diameter only seems large because of the bezel but it's the perfect size. Superb value

48mm is like wall clock. I like how slim it is and the light colored dial, but this is a tad too big for me on a XL palm

Both the silver and black versions say "mineral glass" in the pictures in the middle of the listing. But Casio's official website says it's sapphire so that's comforting.

It's 45mm wide, not 48mm:

I have not seen one in person, but it's very thin -- 8.7mm.

So my guess would be that it doesn't wear/look chonky.
