You can actually buy an adapter to solve this. I have a 4TB Samsung EVO SSD in my HB3. Picked up an IRICO 2.5 SSD to 3.5 adapter bay on amazon for $7.99

I am currently testing a Homebase Professional S1 and it does NOT fix the wifi issues in every case. I was having a lot of problems with 2 s3 pro cameras recording continuously to a homebase 3. I bought the professional s1 to see if it would fix the problem and it was the same exact issues. I actually struggled to find features that the Professional S1 does better than the homebase 3 since I very badly wanted to justify keeping a more advanced unit. I can easily afford it, but I am a thrifty person and I really cannot see the value in the pro unit for someone who just wants some easy wifi cameras, perhaps with the occasional continuous recording for certain sides of the house.

The only thing that solved the slow connecting and hitching playback for me was no longer using 2 s3 pro's in continuous recording. ALL my cameras started loading super fast and working well when I stopped doing 2 at the same time in this configuration.

It does NOT look like Eufy has free returns, just a consideration if you are on the fence. I would almost suggest just getting a 2nd Homebase 3 if you have a issue with covering your whole house. I am switching one of my s3 pro units for a E30 flood camera since they put a wifi booster in that model which I hope allows for a better connection to the homebase 3.

I have gone thru nearly a dozen "wire free" security solutions and they are all about the same. Major lag when object is detected, can never really do continuous recording and batteries fail after 3 months guaranteed! Just save up a few thousand and have a professional install a poe four or six camera system. You will have permanent peace of mind and nearly instant alerts! Also even if your internet is out tether the main network switch to power backup and you will always have footage!

If I didn't already have the regular Homebase S380, I would have jumped on this. It's just too much to lose if I upgrade now as it is using a 3.5" HDD instead of 2.5" HDD on the S380. That's like paying $200 + another Hard Drive for it.

The good thing about this upgraded Homebase is the ability to view multiple cameras at once on the app, just like Arlo does on the app. Also the built in battery is very nice to have with up to 24 hours during power outage.

I have my S380 connected to a UPS which supplies power for about 2.5 hours during an outage.
But you'll also need UPS for the network and the cameras.

They need to work on supporting more older cameras otherwise it's useless for loyal customers who own older cameras.
I stopped waiting. They made so many empty promises when the Homebase 3 came out and said it would support all those old devices "soon". Two years later, I am finally able to add my Flood light camera to Homebase, but it's still not fully supported.

Anyone know if this will solve performance issues with getting the cameras to decrypt and live-view in a reasonable amount of time? Currently I am running all mine via Wifi, no HB or anything, and live-viewing and viewing clips is hit-or-miss.

Also compatibility list gives me a 404: https://service.eufy.com/article-...ssional-S1
Huge pain point for me also. I have 7 Eufy cameras in my network. I also have the door bell and all of them sometimes is very slow. The doorbell camera always have a notable delay. It is definitely not my network as i am running a mesh 7 network.

They were bragging about the home base 3 just a few years ago. I bought their upgraded cameras and through testing got a lock camera and 2 new pro cams. On of the pro cams is blurry in less then a year, the doorbell is peeling and turning light gray from the Texas sun in 2 years and the cameras I bought 3 years ago, 1 lost its solar capability. The HB3 sounds loud and the connectivity is very slow to load now. These ceras are not cheap and the quality does not seem to be that good. Now they are trying to push a $500 new homebase. I think I'm gonna pick a new brand or hardwire next time

Agreed. I had a hb3 and eventually disconnected it. Accessing live view was so ridiculously slow, it wasn't worth having that system save files or it's AI abilities.

If I didn't just 2x S330 camera and a homebase s380 for $150, I would get this homebase unit. Oh well
How did you get S330 deal for $150? I saw the deal with e40 only?

The only real 24/7 continuous recording that is "wire free" is Reolink Altas PT Ultra with the Solar Panel 3. Most bundle comes with the Solar Panel 2.
