You can actually buy an adapter to solve this. I have a 4TB Samsung EVO SSD in my HB3. Picked up an IRICO 2.5 SSD to 3.5 adapter bay on amazon for $7.99

UPDATE: This is a repackaged "Network Video Recorder S4" with a focus on wireless devices as it has 4 POE ports instead of 8 with the addition of a battery backup, 4G backup, and AI expand ability. It appears to be the same device otherwise.

So, after installing this... initial feedback and some interesting things I didn't see in the features:

-The full NVR interface exists when you plug HDMI into it. It even supports use with touchscreens connected to the USB-C port. Starting it up at least once like this is also a requirement for security--it requests password creation for the super admin account and exposes a bunch of settings that aren't in the app.

-You can access it with their NVR web portal in addition to the regular eufy portal.

-it is able to stream multiple wireless camera on the same screen at once... both on the phone app and NVR interface.

-Far less lag reporting notifications. Much faster to initiate connections

-Supports connecting cameras (that support it) the ability to hop between your main WiFi first or directly to the Homebase depending on signal

-Breaks Homebridge to connect unsupported cameras to HomeKit and eufy-security for home assistant for now.

If I didn't already have the regular Homebase S380, I would have jumped on this. It's just too much to lose if I upgrade now as it is using a 3.5" HDD instead of 2.5" HDD on the S380. That's like paying $200 + another Hard Drive for it.The good thing about this upgraded Homebase is the ability to view multiple cameras at once on the app, just like Arlo does on the app. Also the built in battery is very nice to have with up to 24 hours during power outage.I have my S380 connected to a UPS which supplies power for about 2.5 hours during an outage.
You can buy an adapter to have your 2.5 fit in the 3.5 drive caddy

But you'll also need UPS for the network and the cameras.
I have 3 eufy cameras. 2 are wireless, so they both stay on even during power outage. It already happened a couple times. Only the homebase is connected to my UPS. And of course, my internet modem + router. The UPS showed about 2.5 hours of power during the outage.
