I have one of these and it works great. Only use it when the leaves are dry or else it gunks up. You'll have to replace the string a bit, just with weedeater line. Greatly reduces the number of bags of leaves you'll have. Wear a mask, unless you love allergies.

I too, have this and it is awesome! I have Sycamore trees on my property (very large leaves), and this machine reduces the leaves by at least 5x for easy disposal. Buy a little extra string

Hack: There are people on YouTube who replaced the trimmer line with plastic string trimmer "blades", it seems to work better...at least for them. YMMV

just gotta be careful to wear safety glasses and hope those blades dont go flying off. there is a reason that when manufacturers make blades for their weed wackers they are always made of metal.

I'm not sure what you mean that weed wacker blades are made of metal, almost all of them are made of plastic. Perhaps you are confusing the plastic blades with bush cutters which should never be used in this tool.
