I've apparently been segued into some sort of status where I never get coupons anymore. It's been abrupt--I used to get like 90% and I haven't gotten any of the last 5-6 I've seen offered here 😭

Same thing happening to me. I have not used any coupons in the past few months so I see no reason why I am not being offered the ones I see posted on SD recently.

Apparently, the word is that if you make too many returns, Amazon cuts off all of the discounts you would've normally seen.

I haven't made a return in over 2 years. I just restarted Amazon Prime a few months ago but the coupons dried up like a week or two ago.

While some people are boldly stating the claim about "too many returns" on any thread they can find with Amazon coupons, I suspect in this age of data mining and dynamic retail the factors involved in deciding whether to present coupons are based on a wide number of variables. These no doubt include returns, but the type of consumer profiling they are doing goes far beyond something as simple as "too many returns".
