True my neighbor gave his little dogs rides in his scooter and one day one of his dogs jumped out of the basket right in front of my house and rolled about 3 times with the leash still connected and I thought he was dead but just ended up with Road rash on one hip but his blond hair was black from the asphalt . He had a collar and leash tied to the basket but there was to much slack. I would put a harness on them and tie it down real good. Some dogs love it and some can get scared and jump out. The owner was thinking it may have seen a cat ( my neighbor has 3 ) but he was just guessing. Now he only takes his little dog that likes scooter rides.
