Early battery degradation was the 14 pro. The 15 pro's battery is solid. I'm sitting on 88% with 955 cycles to give you an idea. While some minor overheating was present in some badly optimized iOS versions, the latest 26.4 and beyond has been great. No overheating even while pushing it. Most of the heat is simply due to the use of titanium. It doesn't adversely affect it too much. Use wired charging. Comparatively wireless charging will always produce more heat. A wireless charger with an active cooling fan helps with that.

Refurb seems to mean inspected for full functionality and at least 80% battery. Not really my definition of refurbished

Opposite with me. 15 Pro Max was garbage, over heating and major slow down. My daughter still has my 14 Pro Max and battery life at 87% bought at launch. 15 Pro Max i got rid of. My sister and coworker both still have one and both have issues with the latest ios version with both having battery phantom drain and major slowdown. 3 15 Pro Max phones all having similar issues to me isn't coincidence. YMMV of course. 14 Pro Max has been flawless when I used it and my daughter who still lives me same scenario.

This refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max deal stands out for a big 6.7 inch unlocked flagship at a steep couponed price, with free shipping, a one year Allstate warranty, and easy 30 day returns. The refurb listing is described as fully functional, professionally inspected and cleaned, with minimal wear and new generic packaging. Battery health on received units ranges widely, from near new to the high 80s, and some phones arrive with scuffs, dents, or even a screen line. Heat and battery complaints also show up, especially with wireless charging, so condition can feel like luck of the draw.

  • Some iPhone 15 Pro Max experiences include overheating, brightness dimming, and even charging shutdowns.

  • Battery degradation can be faster than expected on some 15 Pro Max units, with frequent charging needs reported.

  • The TECHREFURB20 coupon may not work for every checkout attempt on the listing.

  • Refurb condition can vary, including reports of scuffed sides, dents, and deep scratches on arrival.

I am sitting on 85% with 1082 cycles but I have to charge it 2-3 times per day since day one I bought it. I have the 15 Pro 512GB. Not a good battery at all, and the worst I have experienced since the 11 Pro Max, and I have upgraded an iPhone every year.
You "upgrade every year?" Yet youre still using your iP15? You'd be using a iP16 if you "upgrade every year," right? Or you stopped upgrading yearly when you reached the terrible battery of the iP15? Though that would seem like perfectly good reason to continue your yearly upgrade, worst battery ever right? But you decided to continue using it and put up with charging 2-3x daily? Interesting...

Mine arrived today, color blue. Pretty bad condition. The sides are scuffed and have some small dents. There's one pretty deep scratch and some micro scratching. 87% battery. I sent in a message, waiting for a response.

Easy returns though. I'm waiting for mine to come tomorrow. If it's not in great shape with BH over 90% back it goes. Some people are getting near brand new ones with 100% BH and others what you got. It's complete luck of the draw.

FYI: Looks like across the board the phones that were listed by this seller as 20% off with a coupon have had their regular price reset to what would have been the coupon price, or even a bit less.

These aren't really refurbished despite what eBay and the seller say. They're just used phones that were inspected to make sure they still work. Most appear to be 2 years or older with poor battery health. Probably carrier trade ins for the iPhone 17. Just return.
