Completely useless—even at the promotional price. I received them today: two 50-ft strings that must be linked together, with no separate plug for each.

The lights are plastic and extremely delicate. When a single string is turned on, some bulbs don't work. When both are connected, the first string lights up, but several bulbs on the second string still don't. That alone tells you how poor the quality is. the plastic itself looks like they will melt in hot summers, get damaged with wind, or gets shortcircuited in rain.
also total 16 bulbs only per 50ft, which looks too far between bulbs.

Overall, the wiring and bulbs feel very cheaply made. It might be acceptable if they were around $5—but honestly, I wouldn't take them even for free.

I'm also losing trust in deals on Slickdeals, where products seem heavily promoted by sellers with questionable Amazon reviews. Check the genuine one-star reviews for this product on Amazon and you'll see the same issues. That's on me—I should have done that before ordering.

Save yourself the time and hassle of ordering and returning these, especially with current gas prices.

by the way, costco has offer on feit string lights which is 22$ ish. more awesome is, sams club has their own brand members mark string lights for 16$. will give a try on any of those where you have 90day return to test out in all weather types.

Code is not working
EPVGB3LZ still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

Bought the Costco ones yesterday for $22. The are more expensive, but spacing is 2' and these are a nice color and bright. The wiring is rubber and not hard plastic. They fit perfectly around a 10x10 gazebo. $17 for 100' is super cheap, and if the bulbs last a few years, that's a great deal.

This is the standard spacing for Cafe / Patio lights. I have two different sets (incandescent & LED) and both have 3ft between bulbs.
I've bought a few of these cheap ones on amazon and the Costco ones. I genuinely don't believe this is always true, but with these, you'll get what you pay for. If you don't want to replace as often or plan on leaving them outdoors year-round and you get harsh weather, I'd suggest Costco route. If you'll use them indoors or don't need them long, get the cheap ones and test them immediately to see if you got a dud. I do have cheap ones that have lasted, it's just a gamble compared to the Costco version so I stick with those now.

Will it still work without the remote? I'm tired of keeping track of all these cheap remotes for every lighting product.
