Got one of these and I use it more than my Apple Watch SE. Battery life is great!

Are there any compromises compared to something like the galaxy watch or pixel watch?

Definitely this is "dumb" compared to a galaxy or apple watch. It's not even in the same watch category after my personal usage. I only bought a cmf watch because I liked the hardware design for my wrist (after getting a better watch band of course). I strongly recommend searching up comparisons on YouTube. To be clear, I like this watch as a second or third watch in my collection, I just did not get it for the smarts, I got it for the looks.

I might get it but it looks big in the images. I fell and broke my first fitbit screen so I do want a other inexpensive starter, something more for health monitoring than fitness tracking.

If you need something inexpensive and hard to break also consider a regular pedometer, it's not classy but I love mine it's so easy to use and indestructible.

No nfc if you wanted to do google/samsung payments with the watch.

From the last time it was posted, I recall people complaining about the size being too big/uncomfortable especially for someone with a small wrist

Any suggestion for a good smart watch for kids (8-10 year old) mainly to call and track location. Thank you so much!

Got this, if you don't like the color, just the strap. I changed mine to a military green nylon strap. Looks great's love the watch and I use it more than my Apple Watch.

The only thing is it doesn't integrate with Apple health.

My son's school banned all "smart" watches. Even though this isn't really considered one, they won't let him wear it on testing days.. which makes it pointless. It works well for location tracking and they can call or text pre approved numbers only. Service is like $10 a month.

The main reason to get this watch over Apple or Samsung is the 10 day battery life. You do sacrifice Apple pay and Google wallet. It also doesn't have some of the advanced health monitoring like AFib or ECG. Otherwise it has all the basic health metrics and notifications alerts. You can also take calls via BT.
