only offered $30 in rewards. Had it for a year and the free items became worse over time.

This is why I'm not renewing when it comes around.

To be clear, the deal is $49 for a 1yr membership that gets you free shipping and $50 of rewards? Are rewards as good as cash?

Since the man made health crisis, I have not found myself in any store.. There once was a time the threads here were filled with deals and clearance chats.. Not so much now days..

If you were going to buy a membership to get free shipping, it is hard to beat the wm often discounted $50/yr deal that gets you peacoct or paramoot as well as a 25% discount at BK.. are the freebies worth the effort?

Rewards have some limits like Dairy. The freebies are not worth membership. Sometimes the Circle deals are better. Delivery isn't even run by Target, it's a third-party company (tipping). It's really only beneficial if you prefer to shop at Target over Walmart.

And I would assume a full membership will be charged to my red card in 330 or so days if I dont remember to cancel.
