As someone planning to DIY my baseboards, is this a solid nailer to start with? Or should I consider other options even if I have to pay a little more, like the Bostitch?

im no expert, but I'd think so. this one has the non marring tip which is good. I went with a harbor freight compressor and gun deal and it doesnt have that tip. Just used it last week and it makes about a quarter inch line indention on the wood instead of a small nail hole. Not that big of a deal but at least make sure you get one that has the tip lol
