They've done the same with their car batteries.

Batteries used to have a full replacement warranty, but people were gaming the system by going in just before the term expired, claiming the battery was bad (with no testing procedure to verify), and then walking out with a new battery, or cash refund in hand.

About two or three years ago, they changed to a pro rata warranty with a depreciation schedule that starts upon purchase.

I think houston is sold out. Asked galleria Costco when it had low stock. The guy said tomball has 3 but everywhere else doesn't seem good.

Costco app is useless...There are times where it says items in stock but none in store. In this case it was showing OOS at my store but was able to find the last one in store. Not sure how good this is.

Scalpers cleaned out Milwaukee metro but I managed to get one for $175 on FB. Still a solid deal even at $175 reseller price.

Same here. I was eyeing on this last Friday and checked again this morning, just missed the start of the deal and every store showed OOS, was able to get one for 175. I think it is still good deal.
