Although they claim this is made from food grade 18/10 stainless steel, I highly doubt that it is, given the multiple complaints of rusting from the reviews. I'm thinking that since this is something one uses daily and it touches your food and goes in your mouth, it's worth seeking a deal on silverware from a reputable brand, such as Oneida or Pfaltzgraff. For something like silverware, it's best to know what you're getting.

How are these with fingerprints? The set I got from Ikea just attracts them like no ones business. I wash my hands before emptying the washer and I still can't keep them fingerprint free.

yeah even if I was in the market for new silverware there is no reality where I am going to hand wash silverware. just confirms whatever coating is on it should not be.
