If you get this, google around for the manual firmware update to V321. Out of the box it was incredibly laggy, even stuttering while just watching a movie or during streaming commercials. The software update option in the settings didn't show any available updates, but I found a forum with instructions and downloads of the most current firmware. The new firmware resolved the lag completely. The TV itself is great. Unbeatable at this price.

Sony had merged its home entertainment division with TCL and handed them some of its TV technology packet, so TCL TVs future looks bright.

Would like to know too, U6 and qm6k have similar spec, and my friend just bought the 500$ 75" u6 and the pic is pretty damn good

From rtings: The TCL Q77K is disappointing for most uses. It's best suited for a moderately lit room, with some lights on but nothing directly opposite the TV due to its poor reflection handling.

Bought this three weeks ago at $549.99. Went down to $529.99 the next day and they price matched. Just saw this price so submitted another one so let's see if they refund the additional $29.99+tax.

Not too far apart with some differences. Seems the TCL is generally favored slightly, but not all measurements apply to all uses.

If a 75" fits your space and doesn't overwhelm, with equal pricing the extra 10" of the Hisense seems like a good bet.

To add on to this, the QM6K Pro uses a coating that's supposed to help with reflections and contrast that is used on the brighter QM7K. Larger reflections like windows are tamed down a bit, but what is annoying is points of light, like a ceiling light. Not only can you still see the light reflected, but these smaller points result in a streak of light across the screen. It somehow also streaks even if the point of light isn't actually being directly reflected, so you'll still see a streak from lights that are off to the side. It's way more distracting than if you just had a lightbulb reflection. It's really only visible on dark scenes, but it's very visible. Something to bear in mind if your room has lightbulbs that would reflect on the screen. The non-Pro version does not have this coating.
