Since Target groceries are typically 10% to 15% higher than Walmart this is not a deal. I have done extensive price comparisons.
this is 25% off ($10 off $40) so if prices are 10-15% higher, assuming that's true on specific items a person is buying, how is it not a deal? It's still cheaper. Is that like the price of eggs has dropped 600% math?

That's the average markup. You'll likely get price gouged on a few items. I guess if you shop smart it might be an okay deal. Just avoid the snacks and drink aisle.

I'm not buying groceries at Walmart regardless. Bad pork one time and never again

I think their point is that it's not a slick deal, worthy of buying things just because there's a nice discount (you know, the Slickdeals way). The discount is largely negated by the higher prices, so it's geared more towards those that already shop grocery at target but not necessarily for those just looking to score a good deal

What is 'slick' is subjective to the consumer. 10-15% (or 25%) off a grocery order of $40 is slick given a general discount on a grocery order isn't offered by many grocery stores in general. It's not like there are posts for $20 off $40 general grocery purchase all the time. if there were and I posted 15% off, then true, not slick. and given you can order from your computer and do store pick up as well, it's a good deal if you can make it work on items you regularly use anyway. We've seen many food items sold on Amazon that were 25c off their normal price go front page.
