Routine caution that if you don't zip these fully every time, they can butterfly open and destroy your laptop.

I recommend Wengers that don't have TSA.

Have used this backpack multiple times a month for 10 years doing light duty stuff like transporting a laptop and/or iPad, rolling up clothes for a weekend trip, even holding drumsticks & percussion accessories. I'm sure somebody could find a way to rip it apart in a few hours and it may not be made with the same materials it used to be...but it's held up for me.

Grab a package of the cheap carabiners to prevent that. If there is enough weight in them, it will open even if fully closed. Good security, too.

Too bulky and as someone else mentioned, you have to zip it up fully otherwise it pops open. Not the best product

Then you're constantly fussing with them for the one edge case scenario of TSA actually letting you use the contraption, versus daily use.
