I received my order from Woot for these D cells and at least 5 of them were starting to leak. Woot quickly refunded me.

Buy 3AA to D parallel adapters and use eneloop AAs or rechargeable lithium 1.5V AAs for voltage sensitive applications.

Thank me later.

I think one knockoff Mag-Lite flashlight (also purchased from Woot, over a decade ago) is the only thing I have left that takes D cells.

yep that's what we did

we bought two dozen of those yellow AA -to- D adapters and use eneloops in them for the D-cell lanterns, high powered flashlights, and transfer pumps, etc

This is definitely the way.

I initially got mine…for a transfer pump too 😂

We also snagged AAA to C parallel adapters, so we always have Cs too.

So much expense and inconvenience avoided.

Show $6 shipping for me.
EDIT: Just saw that I need to log in using my Amazon credentials and not my Woot! ones. Problem solved.

I have ordered 4 of these packs in the past two months. None are leaking. All have an expiration date of 2035, which I think is pretty good given the price.
