The DJI Flip stands out as a compact 4K drone that is fun to fly and easy to use, with live view through the RC N3 controller, a pop out phone holder, and USB C connection. The camera is described as matching the Mini 4 Pro and the picture quality is praised, while palm control and automated moves like Follow, Dronie, Circle, and Rocket add hands free flexibility. It also handles moderate winds around 8 to 12 mph, though stiff winds are a weak point. The deal price moved around after a coupon and a cancelled order, but the drone itself is seen as a strong value at this level.
Common Questions (4)
Yes. The RC-N3 controller has a pop-out phone holder and USB-C cable that connects to the app for live view, and it provides longer range than flying with the drone and app alone.
Yes. The battery can be charged while installed in the drone using your own charging brick and the included USB-C cable, so the kit is not missing a charger function.
It can handle moderate winds around 8-12 mph, but it is not recommended for stiff winds. That makes it fine for casual outdoor flying, but not ideal in stronger gusts.
Yes. It can take off and land from your hand with Palm Control and can fly without a remote or app, while recording automated maneuvers like Follow, Dronie, Circle, and Rocket.

Edit: Checked the pdf manual from the product page, and you can charge it while battery is in the drone (with your own charging brick I believe). They supply the USB-C cable.
