T380 = rugged, weather‑resistant, compact, but NO earpiece jack
T275 = less rugged, but HAS headset/earpiece support

Not everyone lives where there is a good cell phone signal. These also broadcast to multiple devices at the same time, so long as they are monitoring the same channel. The most common use scenario is hiking, camping, fishing, boating, skiing and hunting where groups typically split up. Another example is driving in a caravan. Small businesses can use them in buildings that do not have a cell signal. Sporting event and festival staff are other uses.

Yes, but it's waived with a 2yr contract

For you radio nerds...
These look to be FRS only, wattage isn't listed. 16mi is listed as valley to mountain line of sight, "up to".
google AI says the 114 is 0.5-1W, all the others are 2W

Looks like no headphone jack on these except for the 275, which is not K-style

I guess if this works for you, it could be a good deal, but it seems to be limited if you're trying to do anything else with it.

What's the point of these when you can just use your cell phone?

These are for fun and recreation. Not for mission-critical or emergency use. I have the T470 that advertises 35 mile range. I use it occasionally with staff in locations that have no cell signal. In reality, it might be effective within 1-2 miles under normal conditions.

No, they're over the air communication but these are junk ( cheap plastic, one small drop = trash ). You can get a lot better communication 2-way radios for $30.00 - $45.00 that will last You a lot longer than these so call talkies plus a longer range & more features plus FM radio, earpiece jack, charging base, etc.

16 mile range is REALLY a stretch unless you had 100% clear line of sight. I think most people don't know, but you can get a GMRS license to get far better radios (which basically use the same channels as these FRS radios) for only like $30 per 10 years and it works for you and your entire family. No testing required.
