That's why I switched to a safety razor. A bit if a learning curve, but well worth it and much, much cheaper

Is this the same company that sells ballpoint pens?

Yes, for years I was a sucker for cartridge razors. I still have a large supply. But about 15 years ago, I switched to a double-edge safety razor, only because it promised a better shave and not for price. After quite a long learning curve and several styptic pencils, that promise came true. I no longer even remember the last time I cut myself - more than 10 years ago. Now it is a fun hobby. The number of soap, cream, oil, blade combinations is nearly endless. My current favorite is an Astra blade in a Muhle R41. Astra blades are $9 for 100. https://www.amazon.com/Astra-Plat...r=1-1&th=1. They last a loooong time. According to Amazon, my last blade purchase was in 2018.

What kind of handle do You use or suggest buying for these double- edge safety blade razor blades?

I now use a Muhle R41, but this is not a starter razor. The standard answer is the excellent Merkur 34C. I have larger hands and went with the longer handled version, the 38C - both are widely available. I still use the 38C to this day. Merkur makes BIFL products
