It's designed for pixel phones. I have a Pixel 10 pro XL and this charger allows it to charge at its maximum speed. Thanks op, I picked one up.

This charger, the newest Apple 40W charger, and the Belkin 45W charger on Amazon are the three best general use cell phone charging bricks out there.

To my understanding... there is some sort of communication happing between phone and charger that allows these to charge at the higher speed, for longer thus charging happens faster. Not a bad price if you have a need for one.

It's a good price because Best Buy is selling them for $25 right now.

If you want faster for a Pixel, you would have to buy the 57W at almost double the price.

I still use an old brick and I think that the phone actually benefits from a slow charge than any sudden fast bricks but that is just my opinion.

I am afraid that the fast charging will hurt my pixel battery.

A cool thing about newer Pixels is that they can be attached to the charger most of the time without killing the battery, which makes needing a fast charger less of a thing when you have the 80% limit on.

Google Pixel
Google recently added native bypass charging that activates automatically when you enable the "Limit to 80%" setting.

Supported Models: Pixel 6 series and newer, including Pixel 7, 8, 9, and the latest Pixel 10 series.

How to enable: Go to Settings > Battery > Charging optimization and select Limit to 80%.

Requirement: Must be updated to at least the December 2024 "Pixel Drop" (Android 15 QPR1).

The phone will determine what charge it needs, it won't damage it.

This performs better than the Anker nano that's on sale for $17 though it's bigger with non-foldable prongs. This also has the extra 21V PPS mode the Pixel Pro needs to hit its full charging rate.

Neither charger will work for older (older than S25 Ultra) Samsung phones that support SFC 2.0 45w charging; the older models require 5A PPS modes and cables. Neither has a 5a mode.

Works but it won't activate TV mode without a 60W or higher charger. Fine for handheld use though.

I think the comment was more about faster charging potentially being more detrimental, presumably because of heat associated with a faster charge.

A phone will normally just negotiate the fastest speed it can with the charger. And generally a faster charge causes more heat. Personally, I tend to keep my phones for 3-4 years and don't care too much about fast or slow charges during that time period. But if someone is trying to eke out all the life, slow charging and limiting charges to 80% isn't the craziest idea.
