I also bought these last time. They worked fine but the coffee wasn't as good as true cold brew and it was a huge pain in the butt to clean. I ended up donating both to goodwill.

If I was still homebrewing beer, however, these things would have been perfect for growing yeast starters. They're basically magnetic stir plates.

Ollie's had a bunch of these cheap so I grabbed one a few months back. I tried with coffee and with Thai tea. Somewhat amusing to watch in the beginning but a French press or really any other method is preferred by me. I tossed mine.

Works. Doesn't make a mess. But expect very mid cold brew at best. I used it on the off chance I forgot to make actual cold brew the regular way. Would not recommend if you want it for a daily thing.

The Dorothy looks good on paper, but the spinning action is pointless. You can't rush cold brew. Get the one with the basket that goes into a 64oz mason jar. It wont break as easy, cleanup is easier, and I think there would be less sediment (the sediment could be my grinder though).

After watching the video, I'm actually sold on this. While it may not be perfect compared to real overnight brewing it definitely sounds like a great option for those who forget to cold brew overnight.
