Product Description:
  • LED display screen allows for easy temperature setting and reading in Fahrenheit, enhancing convenience to maintain perfect conditions, ensuring reliable and consistent hatch success with minimal effort need to buy an additional temperature hygrometer to monitor the incubator.
  • Automatic egg turning system, mimicking natural conditions (Optional automatic turning frequency: once every 60, 120, or 180 minutes). This improves hatch success by turning eggs at the right intervals and stopping three days before hatching to prevent over-turning.
  • External water filling system allows you to add water without opening the egg incubator, ensuring a stable humidity level throughout the incubation cycle, and improving the hatching success rate.
  • Built-in candling feature that allows you to check the embryos during the incubation process, helping you to monitor their development and identify any potential problems at each stage.

Generally no, however, some stores like Whole Foods and Trader Joe's sell "fertilized" eggs that people have had luck hatching.

Some of these posts are hilarious. It is entirely possible that you've eaten fertilized eggs before, and there's no federal law requiring commercially sold eggs to be unfertilized. Most commercial operations don't intermingle roosters and hens, but occasionally smaller free range and organic operations have a rooster or two mixed in with the hens. Local farm eggs are the most likely to have a rooster in the mix, so you might be eating fertilized eggs if you buy local. There's no difference in flavor, nutrition, etc if they're fertilized (despite some people believing fertilized eggs have more vitamins, protein, etc).
As for hatching grocery store bought eggs, your chances of success are astronomically low. Even if the eggs were somehow fertilized, refrigeration will kill the embryo.

Does it work with boiled eggs?
Yes, but you will get boiled chickens, so it is your choice.

The girls laying the eggs in the grocery store have never even seen a rooster, let alone had time alone w/ one, so that would be "No." Unless you failed high-school biology class, then anything is possible! 🙄😉

In for one. Living in a rented room now, but expect to be fleeing the PRK gulag in the near future, and hope to get set up for an off-grid lifestyle. This could come in handy.
