Can anyone who owns this device comment on how noticeable the sound looping is? Is there an obvious break in sound when the loop resets? Do the crickets chirp, frogs croak, waves crash, or wind blow in the same repeating patterns?

Maybe I'm more sensitive to this than others but I've tried similar devices and eventually either the break in the loop or the repeating sound patterns become distracting and counter productive. The best I've found so far for me is the app that comes with Anker SoundCore earbuds. It overlays custom combinations of multiple tracks using different lengths and fades out/in between the loops but even that only generates so many permutations and after a few hours become noticable, break the illusion, and wake me up which undermines the whole point.

I'd love to find an app/device that uses some sort of randomized variation of the sounds instead of just repeating the same sound clips in a loop or loops.

Bought this about 2 weeks ago for ~$12 for a dedicated alarm and clock, a lot of different alarm sounds and adjustable volume, light is useful to turn on at night. Speaker itself doesn't sound as good as my lectrofan. Dream eggs have the "shhh" which we found useful for infant sleep training, with a timer this will be clutch for future kids. Just wish it had a light sensor and adjusted the brightness, at night I like lvl 1 but day the lowest is lvl 2 brightness
How is the bass on this compared to the Dream Eggs? I've noticed that with the better bass, the better the white noise is for sleeping. Thanks!

I'm not sure how to test this since I can't connect and play my own music, just comparing to a few years of ownership of the lectrefan. Ended up keeping this in the master bedroom, moved the lectrofan to my kids room and the classic dohm to the guest room

I like my dreamegg. I more often find myself using the built in background noise feature on my iPhone and put my headphones on.

I didn't notice the looping but the sound quality is low, not good enough for sea / waves range of sounds. Probably fine for white noises. It's noticeably lower than the larger dream egg, which has some weird waves sounds that are more like a harbor than a beach. The price is crazy low considering how much must go to Amazon for delivery, but the sound quality was intolerable so I sent mine back.

I guess this serves its purpose as a clock with the added bonus of white noise. Personally, this doesn't do what my phone(s) + Spotify subscription already does.

I bought a few of these. Good for my college kids in dorms that need white noise to not hear the people above them. They're also great in the bathroom if you don't have a built-in fan or want to run water while in the restroom. Great sound quality and options for different sounds.

I bought this awhile back and I do like it overall. A bit basic, but the lighting effects are nice. You can use it at night to see where the buttons are until you memorize which does what. There's enough sound options between lullabies and white noise type options if you want to switch things up. This is great if you need an alarm clock and want a sound machine built in. If you just need a sound machine, there are better options out there.

If you need white noise, this is a great place to start. At least where I live it's a must for the birds that start making a racket before 5...
