Unless you have floor space to spare, this dip station is not an efficient use of floor space nor have enough different uses of exercise for that same floor space. The cost is cheap enough, but if you want more different exercise uses out of a similar floor space there are many other choices for not much more. Use AI to list the exercises you want to be able to do and search for devices or set ups for a home gym that meet those needs. If you are a beginner in various exercises, take into consideration not just your starting point needs but also your future end-point desires.

For higher cost, but much more different exercises for the footprint space consider a squat rack cage. I made the mistake of buying a bench-press rack with adjustable height frames to do squats too, but quickly found the tedious need to adjust the height for squats versus bench press so annoying. And it did not have any feature to allow dips or much else. Finally bought a squat rack cage that met my needs for my build (without overbuying). With all of the included accessories it is like a jungle gym for adults in a reasonable footprint space; included dip bars, lat pull down, rows, pullup bars, resistance band pegs, landmine, j hooks and safety bars for barbell use, and more. Check out SD deals under the Mikolo brand for some past deals that seem to pop up again.

If you're in decent shape, a better option is attaching gymnastic rings to a pull-up bar to do dips or pushups.

Not worth it IMO to devote space to this piece of equipment

80 levels is a weird and misleading flex. Basically you can adjust the height and the width.

This seems really inefficient. I went the exact opposite route to save floor space and I do everything from a wall-mounted pullup bar with pulleys.

Dips and pushups can be done easily on rings. If this thing had a place for a squat bar, then it would make more sense.

Just my experience, I'm 6'4" 155lbs and have been using this for dips for at least the last 5 years no problems. It's a great piece of equipment and is a part of my workout routine. For $52 this is a great addition to any routine. The push handles are too small but the unit is well made even at its highest setting.

Looks like a good price for tubing to build a belt grinder. I'm in for one. It even has the tubes that are nested to make it easy. Last time there was clearance on weight stands of some sort for cheap ($20?), I bought a bunch of those for the tubing too.
