I have the model one generation older than this one where the battery is slotted in vertically instead of horizontally. Other than battery placement and the angle of the oil cap on the reservoir, I would assume this one should handle the same, which is great! I've had to buck a tree that fell in our yard last year and the 14-inch blade had zero issues. Tree diameter was about 20" across. Definitely helps if your up on maintenance keeping the chain sharp. Maintenance is easy too.
