MEAT! [meatyourmaker.com] has their 1HP #22 meat grinder [meatyourmaker.com] on sale for $389.99

I bought this model from them two years ago, and love it. Heavy, powerful, effective, easy to use, and easy to clean. At that time they had some glitches with their payment system, which took some time to work out. Hopefully that was fixed back then.

This is the second time I have seen this on the front page. What makes this special? It is super expensive and seems much overkill for home use

HP makes it special (enough for me). It's a screaming good deal for the HP and build quality. Table top meat grinders come with motors up to 2HP or more, so that probably speaks for itself about whether this is overkill for kitchen use. I've used a variety of underpowered electric tools in the kitchen and shop - better to err on the side of too much HP, overall.
