A CPU with an MSRP of $300, a nice motherboard but a dead end platform that should be selling around $300, and about $1100 for the rest including a budget bin NVMe drive and a healthy 96GB of RAM that unfortunately has lackluster timings. This is not a slick deal.

I was super mixed about posting it. The only reason I did was because building it out in pcpartpicker showed prices over $2k.

If this included a GPU in the mix for this price then I'd be in. The times are rough for PC builders.

Right, $1700 and NO GPU. What a horrible timeline we have wound up in

Guys, this price alone is for the 96GB RAM. This is quite a deal. Go for it and regret later.

I don't game at all. Heavy workstation where all I care about is ram and cpu. Does that change this deal? I don't know much about building PCs or anything like that. Can buy a basic GPU and it's a solid deal? 64gb ram minimum and 16 plus cores is what I'm looking for

The RAM alone is worth about $1300.
