my fridge ice machine just died. trying to find out if these are worth it. Reviews from different brands are all over the place - some saying they love it others saying products dead in a few months.

Can anyone link what they have experience with?

It depends on what style ice you like.The nugget/Sonic ice makers are more expensive and tend to have more problems. I wished I liked the bullet ice, but I am hooked on the nugget. Don't spend the big bucks on the GE Opal-they have so many problems! I am in a love/HATE relationship with mine. Good luck

I'm on my 3 rd one in 2 yrs.. gotta betta a better than 70 dollar one I guess. Buy the warranty I did and it's a hassle when it's less than a yr old!
