Community Reviews
The 77 inch LG C5 OLED evo stands out as a big, immersive OLED upgrade with excellent picture quality and easy LG remote navigation. It is drawing strong praise from owners moving up from older B7 and B8 sets, and the 77 inch size is especially appealing for bedroom viewing or a larger living room. The main cautions are around partner store logistics, with price changes at checkout, slow or messy delivery and installation through Angi, and occasional trouble getting price adjustments or refunds. A compelling OLED pick if the size and checkout timing line up.
Common Questions (7)
The C5 is widely treated as a strong OLED, but the Samsung S90F is described as having a better panel and brighter, more vivid colors. Compared with older LG OLEDs like the B7 or B8, the C5 is an upgrade but may feel only marginal if you already own a recent OLED.
The deal appears to have been time-limited and the price later rose to $1,599.99 or $1,799. If you see the lower cart price, check out quickly because the offer can disappear during checkout or after midnight ET.
Choosing in-home wall install can include free installation, and some buyers also saw a free wall mount added. The mount may not always appear in checkout, so the exact add-on shown can vary.
The service is outsourced to Angi, and several experiences describe unprepared installers, missing helpers, and crooked mounts. Many recommend skipping it and mounting the TV yourself or with a trusted helper, especially for a 77-inch set.
Delivery can be on time, with some orders arriving exactly on the scheduled day and status showing a confirmed date. But other reports describe major carrier delays, lost shipments, and slow refunds, so the experience can be inconsistent.
A Hulu-based signup path has worked for some buyers, using the same email for Hulu and the Partner store. The perk may have expired on Hulu's side, but the LG Partner signup link was still reported as working.
Yes, the same mount can work if it matches the TV's VESA pattern and is rated for the weight. One buyer reused a mount from a 75-inch Sony on the 77-inch C5, but the fit should be checked before hanging it.

Guess I won't be able to get a price adjustment. Sucks.

Deals for the partner store are routinely posted with varying results. I'll share mine.
I got in the OLED monitor deal many months back.
The first part of my order shipped to my local FedEx office. I received a notice from FedEx that there was error in delivery. Very odd considering I work from home and know the route of the driver very well. I called FedEx customer service to see the issue. The shipper (LG) had stopped delivery. But of course nowhere on the FedEx site did it mention that.
I contacted LG and requested my money or the item. Was informed I would have to wait for them to receive the item back which I never received because they stopped shipment.
Fast forward a week and I get a text from lg mentioning a price error and I could purchase the item again with a 5% discount or request a refund. I requested a refund via text message. The message mentioned waiting x business days. Waited those x business and no refund. Contacted PayPal which gives LG 20 days to respond even through I included the message from LG that stated a refund was issued but PayPal could see that it was not. PayPal could also see that I never received the item. It was not. It took ~20 business days for lg to issue the refund to PayPal. In the ~20 days I received a spam email from LG that included the email addresses of what appeared to be people requesting refunds from LG and a suspicious message that said I needed to send the product back. The product I never received.
The 2nd part of the order was even worse than the first part of the order.
Keep in mind if you request a refund via or phone they can't help and that customer service needs to send a request to a different department. It's an immense waste of time to talk to LG. Too many departments and no one can do anything other than send a request.
You're better off hoping for a unicorn deal in a physical store
Give it a try to sign up through this link. Hulu's own perks website says it expired, but the LG Partner store URL I used to sign up is still up.
