This would apply similarly to WH-1000XM6 as well, right? It is $30 off marked price, but even with that plus the cash back, is it a better deal than what we've seen before

It would work for the WHs too. Here's the full terms from the offer on my card:

I'm really curious to try these because of how good my WF-1000XM4's sounded but I'm also really weary of trying these because of how epically my WF-1000XM4's ended up dying.

Sony has had a terrible track record with headphones and earbuds when it comes to reliability. My WH xm3, WF xm3 and now my WH XM5 all developed issues in under a year. Never again. I just plan on trying to cope with airpods on android

Damn, I should've waited until this sale to buy mine. I own the XM4, 5, and 6. The 6 is obviously the best one and really stands out due to comfort and noise cancellation. But the XM4 is still surprisingly good, I still use them as gym earbuds and they've been solid for 5+ years.

I've had WH-XM4, WH-XM5 and WF-XM5 over the last 6 years and had 0 issues. That means I cancel out your bad experience so how does that constitute a "terrible track record"? Also, if you bought all of those new, they were still under warranty. At least rephrase your post as "my experience" and not a blanket statement on Sony reliability.
