This ECO-WORTHY 5000W inverter stands out for true split phase 120V and 240V output in a single unit, with the circular display identifying the version that does both. It is also described as usable off grid, with one MPPT and a PV input range of 120V to 450V DC, which puts the minimum panel count around three or four typical 400W to 500W panels. The AC input must be 240V, so it cannot be fed from a standard 120V outlet for charging. Coupon codes also appear to be exhausted, making the current price the main draw.
off-grid homeowners running a 120/240V split-phase setup because commenters say you only need one unit for 240V and they run it completely off-grid with an Eco-Worthy battery (and can view charging stats via the battery's WiFi).
buyers planning a solar system with a higher-voltage PV array because the PV input range is listed as 120-450V DC and commenters note you'd only need about 3-4 average 400-500W panels to reach the inverter's minimum voltage.
people comparing Eco-Worthy split-phase models who want the 120/240 split-phase capability in one inverter because commenters say the circular display version does 120/240 split phase in one unit (while the square display is 120V-only and needs pairing).
anyone hoping to charge the battery from a standard 120V wall outlet using an extension cord because commenters say the AC input must be 240V (you can't feed it with 120V like some other inverters).
buyers who only have a low-voltage PV string because commenters question whether the 120V DC minimum is a typo and note it may require hooking up a lot of panels to reach the minimum.
shoppers trying to match the exact "circular screen" version to a specific wattage/region because commenters say the circular-screen version may be a different model (possibly 6000W) than the 5000W listing and they couldn't find reviews for that exact version.
No. One unit provides 120/240V split-phase output; connect L1 to neutral for 120V and move the probe to L2 for 240V. The circular-display version is the split-phase model, while the square-display version is 120V-only and may need a second unit.
Typically about 3 to 4 modern 400W to 500W panels are enough, since each panel is roughly 35 to 48V. The inverter's PV input range is listed as 120-450V DC, so the string has to reach that minimum before it can start charging from solar.
Yes, it can accept AC input for charging and load support, but the AC source must be 240V. A standard 120V outlet cannot be used as the AC input for this unit.
The 5000W split-phase unit does not have built-in Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth monitoring. The 6k split-phase version adds Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi, while this model can still be monitored indirectly through an Eco-Worthy battery's Wi‑Fi if paired with one.
The circular-screen version appears to be the split-phase model shown here, but it may correspond to the 6000W inverter rather than the 5000W listing. The square-screen units are the 120V-only versions.
I wonder if this is for an Asian market or Euro Market ............not sure it makes a difference but would be good to find a review is this specific version
This reply is for everybody asking about Eco-Worthy inverters split phase vs parallel units etc....
If the display on the front of the unit is a circle (like the one in this post), then it does both 120/240 split phase in one unit.
If the display on the front is square, then it does 120v only and will need to be paired with an additional unit to do split phase 120/240 or possibly 3 units to do 3 phase (haven't really looked at all units on that)
The main difference between the 5k and 6k split phase inverters are that the 6k has built in bluetooth/wifi and it can also be paralleled with up to 6 units.
I don't think I've seen any Eco-Worthy 230v for Euro markets.
"The inverter charger only supports a 240V input" Can someone explain that in simple terms? Does that mean what I think it does? That if an AC source is connected to the inverter it needs to be a 240V source?
"Sorry, the coupon code you entered is based on a first come first served basis and has been used up by other shoppers. Please enter a different coupon code or explore other discounts on AliExpress."

The inverter can have an AC power source connected to it. It can do a variety of things. The manual will probably tell you better, but it will do things like help charge the battery and power loads when solar isn't enough.
You need to feed it with 240V. You can't feed it with 120V, which other inverters can do. So it's not like you can essentially wire an extension cord to go from your standard 120V wall outlet to the AC input to slow charge the battery when it's low.
good: this unit is great for a garage. It also allows 160v to 500v panels. NOT so good. Cannot be paralleled. Only 1 PV input. My first one smoked, yes literally however EW sent me a replacement unit. I don't know if aliexpress is an authorized dealer for EW warranty. I purchased mine from E-bay directly from Eco-Worthy

I have a Sumry 6.2kw 48v 240V single phase grid-tie/on-grid inverter, can I just grid-tie to main household 240V split phase panel and help power 120V and 240V loads? I asked AI they say the utility 240V + ground can allow the inverter to add power to each leg and the ground/utility will balance different loads on each leg.
I have this. Bought it last time it was on sale for $379. Cannot believe the price has gone down!! Anyway you only need 1 unit for 240v. I bought the ecoworthy 16kw battery along with this for $1650. It's completely off grid. It only has 1 MPPT. I am not able to connect it to WiFi to view the stats, but the eco worthy battery allows me to view via WiFi so I can see how much it's charging.
Does this allow time of day grid charging? Looking to charge batteries up only after midnight.

Lucky that you asked. Because whatever AI is telling you are wrong. Don't listen to AI too much. Your inverter 240V SINGLE PHASE is normally use in foreign countries like Europe and Asia. So you want to use 240V SINGLE PHASE into 240V SPLIT PHASE. You MUST NEED AN AUTOTRANSFORMER.
Growatt Autotransformer is only 1 way down, which I believed. It mean from 240V single phase down to 120V split phase. I just search it on Google. Sale price right now is $269 here: https://signaturesolar.com/growat...LYQAvD_BwE
Victron Autotransformer ($451) is BOTH WAY. It could GO UP from 120V to 240V split phase. and also GO DOWN like Growatt Autotransformer. That why is more expensive than Growatt. I bought Victron Autotransformer for my 120V inverter 3000 watt and propane generator. So I could go up to 240V split phase.
I am currently dealing with EcoWorthy through AliExpress, and this has been, without question, the worst customer service experience I have had in over 50 years. What should have been a simple return has turned into an ongoing, frustrating ordeal. The batteries I purchased do not fit, yet after more than a week, I am still being given the runaround with no resolution in sight. The level of inefficiency, lack of accountability, and overall disregard for the customer is frankly unacceptable. Based on this experience, I strongly caution anyone considering a purchase to think twice. I would not consider buying from this seller again under any circumstances.

I see them with the square shaped screen but not the circular screen
The circular screen version seems to be the 6000W inverter - not the 5000W

Eco-Worthy have a rep on that site and it's monitored pretty closely.
