This using Micro-USB for charging, not USB-C, is the deal breaker for me. Who in 2026 is still charging devices with micro-USB? The last thing in the world I need is another keychain-sized or any-sized flashlight, but still.. I would of 100% pulled the trigger on this if it were USB-C. Thanks to SD, I think I have a flashlight and pocketknife buying disease. Thanks a lot SD. I have enough of both to equip a small army, but does that stop me from buying more? Don't bet on it. 😊 Personally, I'd opt to upgrade to the pro version https://www.olight.com/store/i1r-...hain-light, which also happens to be on sale, so certain colors are only $5 more than this one & it charges via USB-C. Outside of using USB-C It also has nearly double the battery capacity with 130mAh vs 70mAh, which, according to the listed specs, translates to a massive difference in runtime. 12hr vs 6hr to be exact. This is all on top of it also being 20% brighter.

These are AWESOME on your key ring. I have one on each set of car keys. I prefer it over their 'upgraded' version just due to size. This one is small but bright!

Due to it's size? It's literally a quarter of an inch shorter than the pro version, but what does putting up with that extra 1/4" in length on the Pro version get you? It gets you USB-C charging, 100% longer runtime, and a 20% brighter light. I think it's a no-brainer for most to choose the Pro, but you do you; nobody can stop you from preferring an inferior product.

I have gotten 4 of the i1R 2 keychain flashlights for the price of shipping ($5) in the past. Plus they all have usb-c charging. Adding it all up for me is over $16. Just not worth it since I know the AAA powered one will have a leaky battery at some point. Otherwise, I have been very happy with Olight.

I bought this from walmart for $13 way back...its a great little light and POWERFUL.
I use it to check my tires in the pitch dark in the morning going to work.
Last a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time.
ONLY con is its easy to accidentally turn on and never notice until its near dead

Love this little light. Not overly worried about the charging port as I rarely need to charge it. Have a couple of the usb-c versions as well, but this one is on my keychain as it's not a big deal for me. Also these things are great gifts for driving age relatives as they are super useful and not very bulky.
