For gaming, maybe but this would be a decent productivity rig if you dont need alot of VRAM. Not a deal but not a terrible price as they are creeping back up after stabilizing for a couple of months.

Price increases seem to be driven by the RAM and SSD spike. Inflation on those parts is around 130%, and data center demand seems to be making it even worse.

Anyone have any suggestion on how this would be if I swapped out the 5060 for a 5070, and an 850w PSU? I've been wanting to move to AM5, and already have the 5800x rig with the 5070... swap the graphics cards and power supply and sell the 5800x+5060 rig (32gb of RAM) for like... $800? Hopefully?

What's wrong with it? I don't see much better around the same price. It would definitely be an upgrade over my current laptop, (ryzen 5, GeForce 1650) but I don't know this brand or much about pc's. Can't I just upgrade that gpu later?

The guy's just kind of being a snob about the gaming side of things because the 5060 is an entry level card... but it'll still blow the doors off your 1650. In the future all you'd need to upgrade is probably the GPU and the Power Supply and you're good to go.
