And Epson's pixel shifting is even lower resolution than DLP. Plus Epson really need to start using higher contrast LCD panels, they are lagging behind significantly, as much as I prefer LCD over DLP, it's getting harder and harder to argue the case.

See my comment above. I didn't spring for the NZ900 get that if you have a very large screen. Pretty happy with the NZ800, not the best but good enough for my purposes. 4k120 gaming is great. I run all my material though a MadVr so cant really speak on the DTM but its supposed to be very good. I have it showing on a 160" custom screen in a dedicated theater.
