Is the Brita Plus filter discontinued? I don't see much info on this. Only the standard and elite (5x).

From what I read the standard filter doesn't do much in reducing harmful metals. Assuming the plus is a little better.

Elite actually reduces significant amount of metals. Alternatively you can switch to zero water

Brita plus does not filter lead, elite does and tries to compete with zero water.

If you're going to take the effort to filter your water you might as well just skip these half-measures and get the Elite. These lower-level filters are mostly just for taste and don't actually do anything for actual concerns like lead and PFAS.
