2000w is wild. Is this for when you want a localized earthquake in your home?

I have always questioned this sort of thing and even multiple subs. 240rms shakes the house with big explosions. 2000 would knock siding off the neighbors house

Pretty sure this is more for use in places like a night club etc. Only goes down to 38hz, but obviously gets stupid loud. I have a Monolith M215 in my setup, which puts out 2000 W RMS 3600 max, but will do 100+ dB down to 12.5hz. Will hit all the low's you want in a movie much better, the Subwoofer in this post will miss a LOT of LFE if it only digs to 38hz, which isn't impressive for a home theater.

About the same price as svs sb-3000r, which has higher peak watts and rated for 17 hz, and is only a 13" sub. Why waste the space?

This is not designed for home theater. This is a pro component
This is to fill a large space with 40-100 hrz tones. That would typically be music. You could use in a large home theater with a separate unit for ultra deep bass.
Think dance studio, club, music venue. Likely the space would use 2-4 of these or more.
FWIIW your Monolith won't even come close to 100db at 12.5hrz in a large space.

Fwiw you expanded upon what I said. The M215 is THX ultra certified for rooms up to 3000 cubes. More then good enough for any room I'll ever put it in. Lol

Indeed I was expanding on what you said.
Wasn't arguing with you.
This can be pole mounted and is small+light for an 18" driver.

3000 cubic feet is not a big venue in terms of a pro solution. In fact it is quite tiny. But yes for many homes your subwoofer is legit. That said Even my 1400sq ft house has a 3000cuft living room, cubes expand fast. Many pro venues are 10,000-300,000+ or even outside.
The other factor is possible extreme abuse and lots of loading, unloading if used in rentals, Mobile djs or on a type of tour.
In a house 2 of these might make sense if you can do you own peq settings and want a ridiculous amount of 60-90hrz slam.
